Age of Conflict

Then and Now

Age of Conflict was first formed November of 2003 by Jintek - a member of the Red vs. Blue contingent playing on Kings of Chaos. After a disappointing series of events on KoC showed the depth of the game's many administrative problems and the lack of sound game concepts, several sought a solution in the form of setting up a turn-based, free, strategy game of their own. Thus, Age of Conflict was founded and the game, Strife, became its launch product.

Based on the open-source Promisance engine still available today on Sourceforge, Jintek and Kull, began the enhancement of the original engine to develop a distinct feel and sense of enjoyment that is Strife.

Today, Strife only loosely resembles the version of Promisance from which it came thanks to the dedication and contributions of AoC's many players, moderators, and developers.

The Staff

Jintek (Jeff Crosby) - A graduate of Software Engineering at Auburn University, Jeff has been building sites since 1998, and has rapidly grown an affinity for designing and developing games online. At AoC, Jeff served as the lead developer and graphics artist for the site and game. Jeff has since moved on to better opportunities. Should he ever return, he would always be most welcome.

Kull (Jason Kull) - A systems technician by trade, he originally went to college with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. With Jintek's departure, development, maintenance and administration of Age of Conflict and Strife all fall to him.website
